Torbay Hospital Radio has been put on the road thanks to a resort garage
which has stepped in at the last minute. The station raises funds at various

events including the popular Kingsteignton Ram Roast, Paignton Carnival, Marldon Apple
Pie Fair and Brixham Fun Day and it needs a vehicle to get its mobile studio on wheels
to the locations.
This year Vospers of Torbay stepped in to help with a top of the range
new Ford Ranger capable of taking the caravan studio to wherever it is needed.
Adam Hill, the sales controller at Vospers, said: "The team from Hospital Radio work
extremely hard to raise funds throughout the summer and hiring a vehicle would be an
unnecessary drain on its funds so we were more than happy to help."
After the first outing David Thompson from Hospital Radio said: "Thanks to Vospers
for the support and supplying the vehicle."
The events that Hospital Radio will be supporting include RNLI fun day, Teignmouth, on July 22;
Paignton Carnival on July 22; Paignton waiters and waitresses race and evening carnival on July 25;
Marldon Apple Pie Fayre on July 28; the last day of Paignton Carnival on July 29; and the
Pedal Car GP at Torre Abbey Meadow, Torquay, on July 29.
