Welcome
We are a charity broadcasting service specifically aimed at
hospital patients in the Torbay Hospital. The service cannot be
heard on normal radios, as it's fed direct to the patient's
bedside. The station aims to provide programmes containing a unique
mixture of patient requests, music, news, information and
sport.
A Word From Our Chairman
"On behalf of all at Torbay Hospital Radio, it
gives me great pleasure to welcome you to this website. I
hope you will find it informative and helpful. THR
provides a comprehensive broadcast service which can be heard on
the headset by patient's bedsides, the Premier entertainment system
and also speakers situated on the walls in the day rooms. We
are a charitable organisation run by enthusiastic and dedicated
volunteers providing programmes to suit all tastes. Our aim is to
make the patients stay in hospital a little more comfortable; we
broadcast every day of the year and cater for patients individually
with regular request programmes. We are continuing to expand
the entertainment we provide and will keep you in tune with what's
going on."
